1. Aamir Khan was born on 14th March, 1965. It was the festival of "HOLI" on that day and interestingly Aamir Khan's first movie in Bollywood was "Holi", though he was not the lead in it.
2. Aamir Khan even played tennis on a national level for India. He was the state tennis champion for Maharashtra. However during his tennis days, he was known by the name"Aamir Hussain" and not "Aamir Khan".
3. Aamir Khan also can solve the Rubik's cube in record time. In fact, during his college days, he used to solve it using one hand and he used to win small bets with his friends in the canteen.
4. Aamir Khan was an assistant director before becoming an actor and once got scolded by Amrish Puri on the sets of the movie "Zabardast" for which he was assistant director. Interestingly, Aamir and Amrish Puri never got a chance to work with each other in any movie.

6. Javed Akhtar first recommended Nasir Hussain to launch Aamir Khan as a lead actor in a romantic movie. Once Javed Akhtar entered to meet Nasir Hussain and saw this young assistant director Aamir Khan working in a corner. Javed Akhtar told Nasir Hussain that this boy had the potential to be a star.
7.Aamir Khan, Raj Zutshi(his co actor in QSQT and Lagaan) himself did the publicity for Qayamat se Qayamat Tak by sticking the movie posters all around the town on the back of auto rickshaws. Even Juhi Chawla joined them in the publicity for the movie.
8. Aamir Khan himself auditioned Juhi Chawla for the movie "Qayamat se Qayamat Tak". It was not her debut movie, she had already starred in the movie "Sultanat" which released in 1986.
9. When QSQT released, it did not get a big opening because of the all new star cast and also the music of the movie was very different from the trend of disco music in the 80's. The movie and its music caught up due to mouth publicity and the movie became a super hit and a cult classic. Aamir Khan became a star.
10. During his lean phase in the years 1989 till the release of Dil, Aamir Khan was being written off by some critics. However, he came back strongly with Dil which was the biggest hit of 1990. It even grossed more than Sunny Deol mega hit Ghayal. Ghayal and Dil released on the same day.

16. His favourite cricketers are Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Geoffrey Boycott. He is also a huge fan of Tennis superstar Roger Federer. His favourite cricketers from Pakistan are Imran Khan and Inzamam Ul Haq.
17. Aamir Khan's great grand uncle was the famous freedom fighter "Moulana Abul Kalam Azad". He has named his youngest son "Azad" after him.
18. Aamir Khan openly voiced his concern and protested on the construction of Narmada Dam and wanted the people impacted due to the construction to be given an alternate accommodation. As a result, his movie Fanaa was not released in the Gujarat State.
19. Aamir Khan favourite Bollywood movies of all time are Pyaasa and Mughal E Azam. He has even done a "Pyaasa" resembling Photo shoot along with Katrina Kaif.

50. Finally, a fact which is interesting and also true to the best of my knowledge. Aamir Khan in India has perhaps the most hidden fan following. His fans might not be seen standing outside his bungalow for hours or he might not have the biggest twitter following amongst the Indian celebs(though he has the most number of true twitter fans instead of bots which was reported recently by twitter), his box office successes indicate that his fan following is the biggest in India. He is truly named as "Biggest movie star in the world" by the prestigious Forbes magazine enjoying immense popularity in India, China, Turkey, Hong Kong, Taiwan, North America, Brazil, Russia, Pakistan, Middle East and various other countries.
This is a fact and nobody can change it!!!!
18. I watched an interview of Mansoor Khan where he shared that it was he who influenced Aamir about the dam. He is proud of him that despite the criticisms, he still stood his ground.
