ZAFIRA-THE WARRIOR THUG

Zafira, the warrior Thug is now unleashed.  The third poster of Thugs of Hindostan is here and its creating ripples again. Fatima Sana Sheikh as the Warrior Thug seems to be killing it. The arrow shooter, Zafira, looks a million dollar with the intensity in her eyes and swag in her attitude. Female power in Thugs of Hindostan seems to be an indication that Bollywood is now creating strong female characters. Actresses are just not restricted to songs and dances and roaming around the lead actor.


Fatima Sana Sheikh, started her career as a child actor and was seen in Kamal Hassan comic caper "Chachi 420". She starred as the daughter of Mr. Kamal Hassan who disguises himself as a woman to be in touch with her daughter. She looked lovable in the role. However, most child actors seem to go unnoticed as they grow up. Their interests might change, cinema might not interest them, they might feel alienated from this glamour world. Almost everyone had forgotten this cute little girl from "Chachi 420"


When Aamir khan was auditioning for Dangal, he came across her. I think the producers and Aamir khan saw a spark in her. It was an absolutely difficult role. She had to perform real wrestling like a professional, she still had to act, the movie offered her character a graph which goes from a normal girl to a professional wrestler. She had to be good in the key emotional moments of the movie. Fatima Sana Sheikh put her heart and soul and gave a commendable performance. In fact, after Aamir khan, I can safely say that it was Fatima and Zaira's performances that took the honours in the movie. Watch out for her scene when she wrestles with her father played by the incredible Aamir Khan. Watch out for her attitude in that scene. This scene is one of the best scenes ever potrayed on the silver screen. It shows when two great actors come on screen in a great scene, it will certainly go down in history as one of the best. 


After the blockbuster success of Dangal, Fatima Sana Sheikh did not grab any offer that came her way. She could have easily got a half dozen bollywood films that needed her to be glamourous, just dance around, sing along and be an ally to the Bollywood hero. She waited for the right script. She once again seems to have grabbed a powerful role in THUGS OF HINDOSTAN. Who else, but with Aamir Khan starring in it, she also must have been pretty secure about the story and movie result. 

Zafira, again looks like a character that would give a huge scope for this girl. She is brilliant in action scenes, she seems to have the right kind of vulnerability in emotional scenes and also she looks extremely beautiful. She is a deadly combination. Watch out Bollywood, you have a new female star already!
